    Water, we drink it every day but is everything that society knows about hydration true? Water is in our sodas, lemonade, fruit punch and in every other drink in mankind (except for milk). Sometimes we just assume and believe anything we hear but do we really know if the average human needs eight glasses of water a day? But no one needs eight glasses of water a day, it was just a  rumor that developed in the early ’60s, and there is no proof or scientific research on how much water you really need. besides, a glass of water is 8oz and drinking 8 glasses of water a day is considered dangerous that is if you do it every day and if we drink 8 glasses of water a day lets do the math 8 x 8 = 64 and 64 x 7 is 448oz! Which means the average human drinks 3.5 gallons of water a week. Yikes! A study held in New Mexico and 28 people ran a marathon and they had to drink 8 glasses of water and when they finished most of them gained weight. So wanna drink 8 glasses of water still? Did I also by the way it can kill you and others but only 12 people die a year on average from overhydration so that means it is super rare for anyone to die from overhydration Jillian Willson says,” I feel like it is too much work keeping up drinking up all that water and you should on drink when you’re thirsty. Faith Turner says,” I don’t think you are supposed to drink eight glasses of water a day I think you drink half of your body weight,” So in conclusion just drink when you are thirty.

                      Do you know that the kidneys control the human’s body water level and not the mouth? Society believes that if a human is thirsty then they are dehydrated but this false information, or otherwise known as a myth, is not true at all. Another Myth people still believe is that they must drink water when they first wake up, isn’t that crazy? Some of us believe these myths about hydration are true, but really there is no scientific evidence for these myths they are all made up just starting as rumors. If you re drinking eight glasses of water a day then please, stop, it is not healthy for you just next time don’t believe everything you hear.
